When freak weather hits then that’s a signal for photographers up & down the country to get their cameras out! Freak is an understatment, -10 degrees, half the country covered in snow & obviously schools were closed, it can only be time for one thing, time for a photo walk. Myself & 4 photographer friends headed up to the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park to see what we could find. The natural landscape was frozen but fresh & exciting. Concentrating on the waterfalls we first headed to the impressive Melincourt Waterfall outside Resolven, Neath. As pretty as it was the falls were very popular with people climbing all over it, not an ideal thing to have in front of your camera! Our guide & good friend Peter Francis then took us on a great country walk that included the nearby Sgwd Henrhyd, Sgwd Yr Eira & the Afon Mellte falls. The falls were flowing fast as the weather had started to change but you could still see the surrounding area was still rather frozen.
